image The Neighborhood Nanny Drop in Child Care Center* is an hourly daycare center that provides a clean, safe, fun and educational place, with highly qualified staff, for the families of Guilderland, NY and surrounding areas. Our center, located in the Lower Education wing of  Lynnwood Reformed Church at 3714 Carman Road, is prepared to accept children between the ages of 2 and 6 years of age. If necessary, older or younger siblings of children in our care will be allowed.

In addition to our hourly child care, The Neighborhood Nanny also offers Mommy/Daddy & Me Classes for children and daily workshops. Please feel free to view and/or print our Calendar of Events to see what we have going on daily! Each workshop is a chance to learn and have fun. Daily activities at The Neighborhood Nanny include Post Office Chat, Doodle like DaVinci, and listening to stories in the Little Librarians' Lounge. Of course, free-play is encouraged, as our Exploration Stations are sure to please little ones.  Plus, the outdoor area is serene and safe!

In addition to toys and arts & crafts, we will offer social and motor skill building activites. The Neighborhood Nanny has separate activities for older children, including games and books, and a computer area where they can play a variety of educational video games.

Our philosophy is to provide a safe and secure environment, while providing children with a fun, exciting, and entertaining place to visit. We strive to make each visit a new and positive experience, where children learn new skills, play with new toys, participate in group games and activities, create art projects, and interact socially with other children. These activities are scheduled throughout the day to encourage learning in new areas and to provide children with additional social, physical and cognitive development.

We promise to provide your children with care that excels above the rest and invite you to visit our center for a tour. The Neighborhood Nanny is the perfect solution when you need to run errands, attend doctor appointments, see a movie, or when you just need a little "me" time. We look forward to meeting you and your family.

*Attendance must remain within state-mandated limits for drop-in child care centers.

The Neighborhood Nanny Child Development Center program has been developed to serve the needs of today's family. We answer the dilemma that many parents face... where to find quality child care. As teachers and care givers, our goal is to achieve a sense of continuity between your home and our center. We believe it is important for children to maintain a familiar and comfortable routine. Through parent/teacher communication, we individualize each child's care and learning opportunities.

As a family oriented child development center, The Neighborhood Nanny assures a quality "home away from home." We provide an atmosphere where children are respected and staff are responsible. Our program enhances a child's development by offering a caring atmosphere combined with a structured curriculum. We believe in helping children develop a positive self-image, sense of independence, and self-discipline through success-oriented, developmentally appropriate activities. Each individual child's needs are of utmost importance. We share with the parents the belief that each child is a precious gift.

Our Philosophy

The Neighborhood Nanny evolved because we care greatly about children and their well-being; we worried a lot about the kids and parents that struggled to find a place for their child to learn vital social and academic skills.
